Response to Intervention (RTI) is a model used to addresses student’s individual needs by providing individualized interventions and measuring the student’s level of performance over time to make important educational decisions. Academic Intervention Services (AIS) is supplemental instruction beyond the general curriculum to help students at risk of not achieving New York State Learning Standards. These services are designed to improve academic performance and may include guidance and counseling services, response to poor attendance, and study skills instruction.
