Healthy Decisions for Parents of Seniors
Description
We are fortunate to be able to offer a Healthy Decisions presentation for parents of Lockport High School senior students on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at 6:30 pm in the Lockport High School auditorium. This presentation for parents is the same presentation the senior students will attend in May, prior to prom season.
Presenters, Investigator Tom Gibbons from the New York State Police, and Mary Brennan-Taylor and Rachle Sandle-Sacco from the YWCA will discuss topics including: alcohol and drug abuse, prom and graduation season safety, consent, and healthy decision making for life after high school.
In addition, Kathy Gust, from Missing and Exploited Children, will be presenting information about what parents and students need to know about life after high school. Topics include: managing your social media image, maintaining your digital footprint, protecting your personal safety online, and dating safety.
All of these topics are becoming increasingly relevant in our society. We hope you are able to attend this education and prevention presentation, and will be able to discuss them with your child.
