Lockport High School Announcements

  • Regents Exam Schedule: No traditional classes will be held during regents week January 21st - 24th. Normal bus runs for AM and PM, however there are no mid-day buses available.  Limited breakfast and lunch options will be available to test takers if desired.

  • The LHS Guidance Office will be hosting a Junior College Fair Information Night for students and parents on Thursday, March 12 from 6:30-8:00pm in the auditorium. School counselors and college representatives will be available to discuss admissions and application procedures. Participants will have the opportunity to meet with college admissions personnel, financial aid representatives, and guidance staff to discuss the essential steps involved in post secondary planning. All college-bound students and parents are strongly encouraged to attend.

  • Lions! Academic Intervention Service. AIS (study and homework help) is available after school in the library Monday through Thursday from 2:20-3:15pm. Teachers will be available for students that need extra help. Come prepared!

  • The Lockport City School District has begun Kindergarten Registration for all children who will be 5 years of age on or before December 1, 2020. Children must be registered in order to attend school in September Registration ends May 1st! Extended registrar hours March 11th and 25th, and April 8th until 7PM!

  • Reminder: Five Week Progress Reports (Grades 5-12) and Report Cards (Grades K-12) will be available online through Parent Portal. Printed copies are no longer mailed or sent home with students. Second quarter report cards will be available Friday, January 31st for elementary students and the week of February 3rd for secondary students.

  • The Lockport High School Foundation is seeking nominations for its Annual Distinguished Alumni Ceremony to be held on August 20th at Lockport High School! Deadline for nominating a graduate is April 6th. Please complete the on-line nomination form.

  • Change to District Calendar. Please note that the Board of Education has approved the amended 2019-2020 School District Calendar. The calendar was amended to reflect the change of the potential early dismissal of Grades K-12, Election Law Section 3-110 from March 3rd to April 28, 2020.

  • Save the date: The LHS musical "Hello, Dolly!" is Friday, April 3rd at 7PM, Saturday, April 4th at 2 & 7PM, and Sunday, April 5th at 2PM.Lockport High School's production of "Hello, Dolly!" is a 2020 Kenny Awards finalist. The purpose of the Kenny Awards is to recognize, reward, and encourage student talent and achievement in high school musical theatre productions. The Kenney Awards Ceremony is Saturday, May 16, 2020 at 6PM at Shea's Performing Art Center. Tickets can be purchased through Shea's box office or online.

  • School Board Election and Budget Vote is Tuesday, May 19th Noon to 9PM! You must be registered with the Niagara County Board of Elections to vote on the school budget and referendums. Registration deadline is May 5th. Not sure you are registered or where to vote? Visit the Voter Information Portal or call 716-478-4828 for information.
