  • Free Kindergarten Readiness Camp

    Kindergarten Readiness Day Camp is a FREE program being offered through a collaboration with the Lockport City School District and the YWCA of the Niagara Frontier. Children attending must be enrolled for kindergarten with the Lockport City School District starting in September 2023.

    LOCATION: Anna Merritt Elementary School

    DATES: 6 Weeks of Camp

    Monday, July 10th - Friday, August 18th, 2023 (Monday-Friday)

    PROGRAM:

    Classroom Time -  8:00 - 11:30 AM (required)
    Literacy, Math, Social-Emotional Skill Building Camp Time - 11:30 AM - 5:00 PM (optional)

  • Lockport City School District Announces Transition to Trimester Report Cards for K-6 Programs

    Lockport City School District is excited to announce a change in its reporting system for K-6 programs, effective September 2023. Beginning with the upcoming 2023/2024 school year, Lockport K-6 programs will transition from a quarterly report card to a trimester report card. This decision comes as a result of valuable feedback received from multiple teachers and staff members, as well as a recognition that most local districts already utilize a trimester report card system.   • MBK BBQ and Basketball Tournament

    Come celebrate with Lockport's Boys and Young Men of Color, their friends, and their families!  The event is FREE and will include food, games, music, basketball, and fun! Saturday, June 10 from 10 AM - 2 PM at Dolan Park. Sign-up is required.

  • Dr. Mathis A. Calvin, III begins March 18, 2023.

    Let me first start by sharing with all of you that I am honored to be the new Superintendent of the Lockport City School District. As your new Superintendent I am looking forward to partnering with all of you: our students, parents and/or guardians, families, staff, Board of Education members - trustees, elected officials, civic organizations and business - community leaders. My goal is to make certain that we achieve the district’s motto which asserts that we will celebrate and demonstrate “pride in our past and faith in our future.”

  • Kindergarten Registration

    The Lockport City School District has begun Kindergarten registration for all children who will be 5 years of age on or before December 1, 2023. Children must be registered in order to attend school in September. https://www.smore.com/v061d
