Academic Achievement Recognition at LHS

Merit Roll
A student who earns an overall average of 85.00%-89.99% in any quarter is named to the merit roll.
Honor Roll
A student who earns an overall average of 90.00% or higher in any quarter is named to the honor roll.
Academic "L"

Who Is Eligible - Students in grades 10 through 12

Criteria - student must have earned 90% or better in the previous four quarters.
- Students earn this award in grades 10 through 12 for course averages earned in grades 9 through 11
National Honor Society

Who is Eligible - Students in grade 11
-
Criteria - Students must have earned an overall cumulative weighted GPA of 90%+ by January of their 11th-grade year.

Must complete an application including teacher recommendations, administrator recommendations, an essay, and 30 hours of community service.

The selection criteria is based on the above in addition to leadership, service, character, and academics.

Once inducted, the student must complete another 30 hours of community service and pay a $20 membership fee. They must also remain committed to the four pillars listed above.
