Partner in the Pride Statement of Commitment
The purpose of the Statement of Commitment is to ensure that you have received and read the expectations of the role of a Partner in the Pride at Lockport City School District. It also provides you with information relating to the committee you will be a member of, the duties and expectations as a member, and your agreement to honor your role and work of the committee. Partner in the Pride Expectations
As a Partner in the Pride you will have to meet certain expectations to maintain your role. These expectations are minimal and designed to ensure that ALL Partners in the Pride within a committee meet basic standards for attendance, understanding and using data, and working respectfully and productively with a diverse group to reach common goals.
- All new members must participate in 2 brief trainings prior to attending their first workgroup meeting: Understanding and Using Data for Decision-making and The Effective Committee: Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Decision-making.
- In order to remain in good standing as a Partner in the Pride you must attend a minimum number of workgroup meetings (this is to make sure that, as a member, you are informed enough about workgroup conversations in order to be a contributing decision-maker).
- Terms of service on a committee vary from group to group and are based on multiple factors including the number of meetings held per year, the body of work of the group, the amount of interest in membership, and the intensity/impact of the product that results from the workgroup's efforts.
