Standardized Testing

  • College entrance exams, better known as the SAT and ACT, are designed to measure a student’s skills and help colleges evaluate how ready students are for college-level work. Admission tests apply a common standard to everyone, which allows colleges to evaluate and compare students who attend different high schools in a fair manner. Test scores are just one part of the application process and oftentimes colleges use the applicant’s scores when determining scholarships.
