Going Green Club / Recycling

Advisor: M. Hauser
The LHS Recycling Club is a chance to be a part of something that benefits our school, our community and our planet. Our school district pays (per ton) to have garbage sent to a landfill (in our county) each week. Keeping paper and bottles out of the garbage not only saves money and resources, but also cuts down on pollution and greenhouse gases. We meet every couple months to discuss possible activities. Students can have a recycling collection route once a week during lunch or study hall. Club members can participate in week-long events for "America Recycles Day" in the fall and "Earth Day" in the spring. Students can also look forward to a field trip at the end of the year. This group exists great opportunity to participate in the club experience and maybe even serve as an officer. Students with any questions can visit Room #200.
