Advisors: T. Martin & M. Dray
There are four instrumental groups open to LHS students - Concert Band, Wind Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble and Advanced Jazz Ensemble. Concert Band and Jazz Ensemble are open to grade 9-12 students, no audition required. Students who have not played an instrument before but are interested in beginning should see Mrs. Dray or Mr. Martin in room 110 and will be placed in one of these ensembles. Wind Ensemble and Advanced Jazz Ensemble are auditioned groups, open to students in grades 10-12 and contain students that are experienced and advanced on their instrument. Playing a musical instrument is an enriching experience with benefits to many facets of an individual's life. It requires a substantial commitment of time and dedication, with it providing great rewards and a lifelong appreciation of the arts. Students with any questions can visit Room #110 and #110E.
