Let me first start by sharing with all of you that I am honored to be the new Superintendent of the Lockport City School District. My goal is to make certain that we achieve the district’s motto which asserts that we will celebrate and demonstrate “pride in our past and faith in our future.”

CU Announcements
-
As a reminder, Friday, February 3, 2023 is an early dismissal day at 11:50AM for Parent/Teacher Conferences. Please contact your child’s teacher to set up an appointment if you have not been contacted already. Read more of the February Newsletter here.
-
The colder weather is here! Please be sure your child is prepared for outdoor recess. This includes a coat, hat, gloves/mittens, boots and snow pants. If your child is not appropriately dressed, his/her activity during outdoor recess will be limited. Parents may also want to consider sending in a change of clothes for their child, as sometimes during recess, children get wet. Read more of the January Newsletter here.
-
The Main Foyer area is almost complete! We are finalizing the last details in an effort to better accommodate your needs when visiting CU. In the upcoming weeks, you will notice our “Visitors” portion has been moved to the left side of the vestibule area and there will be a person at the window to assist you. Your patience and flexibility are appreciated during this transitional time. Read more of the December Newsletter here.
-
I appreciate your flexibility as we navigate a few obstacles with the construction in the front foyer. As we continue to work through this, please know, when visiting CU you should use the entrance to the LEFT in the front of the building. This is different from how we started school in September. As always, the doors will be secured and you will need to buzz in to get assistance from the main office staff. Once all issues are rectified, I will send you another update. Read more of the November CU Newsletter.
-
It is hard to believe that October is upon us. Teachers and staff have introduced both school and classroom expectations to the students, while students have settled into the school year ready to learn. Read more of the October CU Newsletter.
-
We are excited to have our students back in session beginning Tuesday, September 6, 2022. As a reminder, dismissal will be at 11:50AM on this day. Click here to read Principal Gilson's September Newsletter.
