• It’s a great day to be a Lockport Lion!

    I am grateful to have been appointed as the Interim Superintendent for the Lockport City School District. After nearly 40 years as an educator (beginning as a summer school Teaching Assistant and ending with more than 20 years as Superintendent of Schools), I retired from education. Just a few months into the world of retirement I realized I missed my true passion—working for children and young adults. I tell others that I have “failed” at retirement three times now—and they are “failures” I have celebrated! Those “failures” allowed me to return to schools in temporary roles as a PK-2 grade principal for eight weeks last winter, a junior high principal for one day (at Aaron Mossell) last June, and now in this role.
