  • Learning at Home: Monday, April 6th, marks the beginning of remote learning in the Lockport City School District during these unprecedented times. Lessons and activities for LCSD students K-12 are organized by grade level and content through April 17th. We encourage students to spend a part of each day doing the best they can to actively engage in the activities shared by teachers. If school continues to remain closed, new lessons and activities will be added each week until further notice.

  • The Board of Education meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, April 8th at 5PM. Due to COVID-19 concerns and CDC guidelines for social gatherings, the meeting will not be open to the public to attend in person, but will be accessible through livestream on Google Meet. https://stream.meet.google.com/stream/8172c0df-6a7a-4673-85cd-395b6fcb9f0d

  • UPDATE ON SCHOOL CLOSURE April 6, 2020: As per Governor Cuomo’s order, all schools in New York State will be closed for students until April 29, 2020 due to the Coronavirus pandemic. The situation will be reassessed by Governor Cuomo at that time. Therefore, the Lockport City School District will be closed until further notice. We will continue to provide food service and continuity of learning.  Please stay updated on changes and additional information relating to school closure by visiting the district’s website.

  • The upcoming Lockport High School musical performance of "Hello, Dolly!" has been postponed. Ticket inquiries should be made to 716-478-4600 or emailed to Karen D'Angelo. All tickets already purchased online will remain valid and will be transferred to future dates.

  • The Lockport City School District has begun Kindergarten Registration for all children who will be 5 years of age on or before December 1, 2020. Children must be registered in order to attend school in September Registration ends May 1st!

  • Reminder: Five Week Progress Reports (Grades 5-12) and Report Cards (Grades K-12) will be available online through Parent Portal. Printed copies are no longer mailed or sent home with students.  The third marking period closed on March 12th. The posting of report cards will be determined at a later date.

  • School Board Election and Budget Vote: Governor Cuomo signed Executive Order 202.13. Included within this executive order is the announcement that all school elections are to be postponed until at least June 1, 2020. From the executive order: Any school board, library board, or village election scheduled to take place in April or May of 2020 is hereby postponed until at least June 1, 2020, and subject to further directive as to the timing, location or manner of voting for such elections.

    You must be registered with the Niagara County Board of Elections to vote on the school budget and referendums. Registration deadline is May 5th. Not sure you are registered or where to vote? Visit the Voter Information Portal or call 716-478-4828 for information.

  • The Lockport High School Foundation 2020 Annual Distinguished Alumni Ceremony scheduled for August 20th has been cancelled. Nominations submitted for 2020 will be considered for recognition at the 2021 ceremony.
