Confirmed COVID-19 Cases: No Exposure to Students or Staff: LHS, EB, CU, RBK 1/6/2021

The Niagara County Department of Health (NCDOH) notified the Lockport City School District (LCSD) of eight (8) positive COVID-19 cases.  The breakdown is as follows:

  • Lockport High School...six (6) confirmed cases. According to the NCDOH, there is no exposure to staff or students based on the individuals' last days of attendance in the building.
  • Roy B. Kelley Elementary School...one (1) confirmed case. According to the NCDOH, there is no exposure to staff or students based on the individual's last day of attendance in the building.
  • Emmet Belknap Intermediate School...one (1) confirmed case. According to the NCDOH, there is no exposure to staff or students based on the individual's last day of attendance in the building.
The Lockport City School District was also notified of one (1) positive COVID-19 case:
  • Charles Upson Elementary School...one (1) confirmed case. There is no exposure to staff or students based on the individual's last day of attendance in the building.
All Lockport City Schools are operating in the full remote model of instruction for all staff and students for the week of 1/4/2021-1/8/2021. As you know, yellow zone testing is taking place this week in the Lockport City School District. These positive cases are not a result of the on-site testing. When the on-site testing is complete a summary of the results will be provided on Friday, January 8, 2021.

The custodial staff continue to follow cleaning and disinfecting protocols. Please continue to practice social distancing, wear a face covering, wash your hands frequently, and monitor your health regularly. If you have any questions about your health your medical provider should be contacted.
