Dear LCSD Community,
As part of our continued commitment to supporting all students and their families, the Lockport City School District is updating the ticketing process for school musical and drama performances. Effective December 10, 2025, admission to all high school, junior high school, and K–6 performances will be free of charge.
This change reflects our core belief that every student deserves equitable access to school experiences and the opportunity to feel supported and celebrated by their families and community. By removing financial barriers, we are reinforcing our commitment to fairness, belonging, and meaningful community engagement across all school activities, including the arts.
At Lockport, we take pride in who we are: We are Lockport Lions… We all belong. This guiding principle anchors our work and reminds us that every family should feel welcome and valued in our school community.
To ensure a fair, safe, and enjoyable experience for all attendees, the following guidelines will be implemented:
· Students participating in high school and junior high school musical and drama productions ONLY will receive tickets for their immediate family members (parents/guardians and siblings) directly from their school prior to the performances.
· Additional family members and community guests for high school and junior high school performances will be able to reserve tickets through the district’s ticket vendor, Ludus, at https://lockporttheatre.ludus.com/index.php?show_id=200506277. Reservations will be limited to two tickets per person and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Additional details regarding the online ticket reservation process will be shared soon.
· All K–6 performances will also be free of charge. Parents and guardians will be required to reserve seats for their families in advance. Specific instructions for each elementary school will be shared directly by building principals at a later date.
· Staff and volunteers will assist with seating and help ensure a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment at all musical and drama performances.
Additionally, the district has placed a FAQ document on its website (see below) regarding this ticketing process for the general public to view. As we receive additional questions on this matter, we will continue to post updates to the website for your review.
We appreciate your partnership in supporting our students and the arts, and we look forward to celebrating their achievements with you. If questions or concerns arise, please contact your child's school principal.
Warm regards,
Dr. Mathis Calvin III
Superintendent of Schools
