Dear Lockport CSD Parents and Legal Guardians,

I am writing to share an important update regarding the district calendar. At last night’s Board of Education meeting, May 22, 2026 was designated as a Superintendent’s Conference Day. As a result, there will be no school for students on that day.

Aside from this change, I want to make you aware that the district has used all of its allotted emergency closure days for the school year due to winter weather earlier this year. As a result, there are no remaining days available for additional emergency or weather-related closures, including excessive heat.

Please be assured that we are prepared and actively planning to ensure continuity of instruction if any unexpected closures occur. Within the next week, we will share additional information outlining our instructional plan for the remainder of the school year, should the need arise.

Thank you for your continued support and partnership. We appreciate your understanding and will be in touch soon with further details.

Sincerely,
Dr. Mathis Calvin III
Superintendent of Schools
