Dear Parents and Guardians,
I am writing to make you aware of a situation that has recently come to our attention at Aaron Mossell Junior High School. We have received reports that some students may be posting TikTok videos that include images of staff members. These videos appear to vary in nature, ranging from content that may be viewed as harmless to content that raises concerns.
Please know that the district is aware of this situation and is actively addressing it. We are reviewing all information carefully and, when appropriate, will investigate concerns in alignment with the district’s Code of Conduct. Any content that raises concerns related to the health and safety of students or staff, or that may disrupt the school environment, will be taken seriously and addressed accordingly.
We are asking for your support in helping to address this matter. We encourage you to speak with your child about responsible and respectful use of social media. Monitoring your child’s online activity and reinforcing appropriate digital behavior can play an important role in preventing situations like this from escalating.
Maintaining a safe and respectful learning environment is a shared responsibility, and we appreciate your partnership in supporting our students and staff.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the school.
Thank you for your attention to this matter and for your continued support.
Sincerely,
Dr. Mathis Calvin III
Superintendent of Schools
