First day of school is Wednesday, September 2, 2026 for students. Early Dismissal for all kindergarten students (11:50 a.m.). Full day for everyone else.

Need Clothing or Shoes? Lace Up Lockport is available for families at Lock City Center - 2 Lock Plaza on Saturday, August 8, 2026 at 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Available while supplies last. Children need to be present.

LHS West students do not need any school supplies. The school has everything that is needed for each student.
Teacher Assignments/Class Schedules
All Elementary Schools-Assignments for elementary classroom teachers will be sent via mail on August 14, 2026.

Lockport High School Self Guided Tours
Tuesday, August 25, 2026 at 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Wednesday, August 26, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Thursday, August 27, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Tours of Emmet Belknap & Aaron Mossell will be offered based on school construction completion dates. Watch your email and social media for updates.
Bus Routes & Schedules
Our district transportation liaison, Kevin Love, has worked diligently with STA/Ridge Road Express to plan safe and efficient routes for all eligible students. Detailed bus routes and schedules will be sent home to students who are eligible for the bus the week of August 24, 2026. Eligible students are those in grades K-6 who live one mile or more from their school, or those in grades 7-12 who live 1.5 miles or more from their school. Those students who live in designated Child Safety Zones will receive transportation regardless of mileage to an in-district school.
Fall Sports Registration & Information
Please ensure that you have registered for your sport and completed all required forms in your FinalForms account. See the Fall Sports Newsletter for information. JV & Varsity Football begins on August 17, 2026. All other Varsity, JV & Modified sports may begin as early as August 24, 2026. The sports offered, times & locations of tryouts, and contact information for coaches can be found here.
ParentSquare Communications
We are excited to share that beginning this summer, the Lockport City School District will transition to
ParentSquare as our new districtwide communication platform. No action is needed at this time. Additional information will be shared soon via email and on our ParentSquare webpage, including how to activate your account and customize your notification preferences.
