The Lockport City School District would like to share important leadership updates affecting both Emmet Belknap Intermediate School and Roy B. Kelley Elementary School, effective July 1, 2026.

Principal Mrs. Aliscia Krecisz will transition into a new role as Assistant Director of Human Resources for the district. Over the past two years, Mrs. Krecisz has demonstrated a strong commitment to the Roy B. Kelley community, fostering a positive school environment and supporting high-quality instruction for all students. The district is grateful for her leadership and looks forward to her continued impact in this new capacity.

At the same time, Mrs. Jennifer Gilson will become the next principal of Roy B. Kelley Elementary School. Mrs. Gilson currently serves as principal of Emmet Belknap Intermediate School and previously led Charles Upson Elementary School. She also brings experience as an assistant principal within the district. Her proven leadership and deep understanding of Lockport schools position her well to support the continued success of Roy B. Kelley students, staff, and families.

Mrs. Gilson has served as principal of Emmet Belknap for the past two years, where she has worked diligently to support students, staff, and families. The district sincerely appreciates her dedication and the positive impact she has made on the school community.

With her transition, the district will begin the search for the next principal of Emmet Belknap Intermediate School. The search process will officially launch on April 3, 2026, and will continue over the coming months to identify the best candidate to lead the school forward.

To support a smooth transition, Mrs. Krecisz and Mrs. Gilson will work closely together in the months ahead. Roy B. Kelley will also host “meet and greet” opportunities for families to connect with Mrs. Gilson, with additional details to be shared soon.

The district remains committed to ensuring continuity, stability, and continued success for both school communities throughout this transition. We appreciate the ongoing support and partnership of our families.
