Dear Emmet Belknap Community,
I am writing to share a brief update regarding a fire alarm activation that occurred earlier today in the kitchen area while staff were preparing lunches.
As a result of the alarm, the building was safely evacuated while we awaited the arrival of the fire department. The fire department responded promptly, evaluated the situation, and cleared the building for re-entry shortly thereafter.
At all times, the safety and well-being of our students and staff remained our highest priority. Our students remained safe throughout the evacuation, and once the building was cleared, students and staff were able to re-enter and the school day continued as planned.
We apologize for any inconvenience or disruption this may have caused our students, families, and staff. However, we believe that following all safety procedures and taking the necessary precautions is essential to maintaining a safe learning environment for everyone.
