Synopsis:

The Diary of Anne Frank is a memory play based on the book Anne Frank: Diary of a Young Girl. The play focuses on the personal experiences of a Jewish family hiding from the Nazis in a secret annex during World War II. The play follows Anne Frank and seven others as they navigate life in confinement, dealing with fear, hope, and the challenges of growing up under extreme pressure. Anne's youthful spirit, diary entries, and maturing personality are portrayed over the course of the family's two years in hiding. The play tragically culminates with the family's discovery, arrest, and their final days spent in concentration camps. Mr. Otto Frank, Anne's father, is the only family member who survived the camps. The play's final action ends as it began, with Mr. Frank reading directly from Anne's diary: the only remaining record of one family's resilience during a bitter time in our world's history.
