We're collecting new shoes, socks, T-shirts, and underwear on August 1 from 9 a.m. -2 p.m. at the Lock City Center (2 Locks Plaza). If you can't make it then, you can drop off donations at the LCSD Family Empowerment Center, 57 Canal St., Suite 102from 7:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday up until July 30.
Want to receive shoes or clothes for the new school year?
You can pick up clothing and shoes on Saturday, August 8 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the Lock City Center (2 Locks Plaza) while supplies last.

Communicate with anyone, any age, using ASL. Hearing loss takes an emotional toll on families. With ASL you can include everyone in your conversations - grandparents, babies, anyone with or without hearing loss or limitations. Everyone can learn ASL in this beginners, introduction to ASL class.

As we honor this important day in our nation's history, we remain committed to fostering a school community where every student feels valued, respected, and empowered to thrive.

Congratulations to our MBK (My Brother's Keeper) students from AMJHS, LHS, and LHS West. A celebration of their achievements, which featured an inspiring keynote address by Mr. Antoine Johnson, a program success director for the National Fatherhood Initiative (NFI). Approximately 25–30 MBK members were recognized for their participation and accomplishments throughout the year and received certificates of recognition.

Students and staff had a blast with Easter inspired activities like egg painting and games like the jelly bean chopstick challenge (45 seconds never felt so fast 😄). With sweet prizes like (Hello, peeps, jelly beans and chocolate), plus a staff breakfast, it was a great send-off into the break!
We will see you back in class on Monday, April 13!
