Mark your calendars for Lockport’s Literacy Night - coming Thursday, January 29, 2026, from 6–8:00 p.m. at Aaron Mossell Junior High School (160 Passaic Ave, Lockport)!
Join us for an Olympic-themed Literacy Night filled with hands-on activities that build reading skills across phonics, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, oral language, and math. The evening includes a kickoff presentation on the Science of Reading, community partners, snacks, book giveaways, raffles, and interactive “Literacy Olympics” stations.
Schedule of Events
5:45 p.m. – Doors open & literacy bag pickup
6:00–6:10 p.m. – Opening kickoff (Auditorium)
6:10–6:30 p.m. – Science of Reading Presentation
6:30–8:000 p.m. – Literacy Olympic Stations, Community Organizations, Snacks, Photo Station, Book Giveaway & Raffle
8:00 p.m. – Medal ceremony for all students
