Prior to Winter Break, students across the district celebrated Lunar New Year. LHS students teamed up with the Chinese Language and Culture Club from Alfred University for a special Lunar New Year celebration including a hands-on dragon dance workshop and live demonstrations.

This weekend, talented students from AMJHS and LHS took part in All-County Festival I at Barker Jr./Sr. High School. After December auditions, several AMJHS and LHS students were selected to perform with the Junior High All-County Chorus, showcasing their hard work and dedication.
We’re also celebrating our LHS students who earned a spot in the Senior High All-County Vocal Jazz Ensemble, an incredible accomplishment! Congratulations to all of our musicians for representing LCSD!

The LHS Scholastic Bowl team is competing in the 2026 season of the WLVL Scholastic Bowl! Students face off against other local high school teams in this fast-paced, approximately hour-long trivia competition.
Lockport’s final regularly scheduled game will take place on Wednesday, February 4th at 5:00 PM.

LCSD held their annual ENL Family Night in the LHS Cafeteria last week. K-12 families had the opportunity to receive information about the district, resources available to families and academic expectations at the various levels. Hands-on activities were provided for younger students and many secondary level students volunteered. A delicious meal was enjoyed by all. We are one!
