On Wednesday night, the Varsity and JV Girls and Boys Soccer teamed up with participants from the Elk’s Club Challenger Sports of WNY for an unforgettable evening of fun and sportsmanship. This special league is open to players who face physical or mental conditions that limit their ability to participate in other competitive sports programs.
The LCSD Varsity and JV soccer teams welcomed the Challenger athletes with open arms, engaging in goal shooting and skill practice, and building connections through the shared love of soccer. The evening culminated in a spirited 10-minute game, where the players—Varsity, JV, and Challenger athletes alike—showed that soccer is truly for everyone. #WeAllBelong

This week, we welcomed an amazing group of 35 new educators into the LCSD family!
🌟 Their staff orientation included an exciting tour of all our schools, giving our new teachers a taste of the vibrant and welcoming community we have here in Lockport.
🌍 Fun Fact: This talented group hails from Lockport and as far as Florida, bringing a wealth of diverse experiences. Whether they’ve traveled across state lines or grew up right around the corner, they’re all here to make a positive impact on our students’ lives.
Photographed are each of the new hires with their building principals. Stay tuned as we get to know them better—there’s so much to look forward to this school year! 🦁💙 #WeAllBelong

It was Harvest of the Month in the cafeteria this week. K-6 students were offered a Taste Test featuring a new Creamy Yogurt Dip with cut veggies. Did you know that simply serving a fun dip with vegetables is a great strategy to eat more of them? It keeps veggies flavorful and makes them more satisfying. Thank you, Food Service & Wellness teams, for helping us get in our veggies! Be on the lookout in February when we get to sample a beet-infused applesauce. Beautifully pink and full of vitamins!
