As we honor this important day in our nation's history, we remain committed to fostering a school community where every student feels valued, respected, and empowered to thrive.

In this archived post, students in Ms. Swanson's health classes explored an important question inspired by an article, "Would You Stand Up to Hate?" Through thoughtful discussions and activities, they examined kindness, courage, and the importance of standing up for others.
Looking back at these photos, it's easy to notice the masks. But what stands out even more is the resilience behind them. Now, those same 7th graders are preparing to walk across the graduation stage as the Class of 2026. 🎓

It's hard to believe these proud 6th graders are now just days away from becoming Lockport graduates. 🎓

Fun Fact: LCSD didn't launch its official social media presence until the Class of 2026 was in 5th grade.

Congratulations to our MBK (My Brother's Keeper) students from AMJHS, LHS, and LHS West. A celebration of their achievements, which featured an inspiring keynote address by Mr. Antoine Johnson, a program success director for the National Fatherhood Initiative (NFI). Approximately 25–30 MBK members were recognized for their participation and accomplishments throughout the year and received certificates of recognition.

At Lockport High School, the Gay Straight Alliance (GSA) helps foster a welcoming environment where students can connect, learn from one another, and support respect and understanding among all members of the school community.
Members of the LHS GSA recently gathered to mark the start of Pride Month with a flag raising ceremony and celebrate the values of inclusion, kindness, and belonging that help make our school community stronger. 💙💛

George Southard students celebrated Career Day by dressing up as the careers they hope to pursue one day, filling the school with future teachers, doctors, lawyres, professional athletes, first responders, and singers!
A special thank you to Cornerstone Veterinary Clinic, the Army Corps of Engineers, the Niagara County Sheriff's Department, and the Lockport Fire Department for helping our fourth graders learn about the many career paths available to them. Thank you for inspiring the next generation!
