#SummerofLions vibes: It's an Emily sandwich with Natalie in the middle! The girls are getting ready for freshmen year at LHS and making memories the classic way—with thrill rides, laughs, and summertime fun at Darien Lake! 🎡☀️

#SummerofLions shoutout to this crew! Spencer (8th grade), Sawyer (6th grade), and Harper (4th grade) kicked off summer with their first-ever family vacation to Myrtle Beach! 🏖️ On the way, they made a pit stop at Luray Caverns in Virginia for some underground adventure. Sounds like an unforgettable start to summer! 🌊

#SummerofLions spotlight: Rowan, heading into 3rd grade at Roy B. Kelley, traveled back in time at a Viking Festival in Ohio! He and his mom embraced the adventure with plenty of fun. ⚔️🛡️

💪💙 This #SummerofLions spotlight is all about strength, purpose, and heart. Emma, who will be joining LHS this fall, is traveling to Wilmington, Delaware this August to compete in the Pin Cancer Wrestling Tournament—a nationwide event that raises funds for cancer research and supports families facing the cost of treatment.

Emma is wrestling in honor of her coach, William Morello Sr., who lost a two-year battle with cancer. “He never missed a meet, tournament, or even showed he was in pain. He defined strength and love for this sport,” she said. “I’m stepping onto the mat to honor him.”

Amelia Mussachio, heading into her junior year at Lockport High School, will be performing in Bye Bye Birdie at the Kenan Center July 18–20, produced by Spotlight Performing Artists.

This summer, skip the trip — the library is coming to YOU. The TechMobile from Lockport Public Library is packed with books, tech tools, and free WiFi access, plus friendly LCSD staff and librarians ready to help you!

We were lucky enough for @Marcus the Barber and Associates LLC to visit a few of our schools this year to give our students haircuts. Students received free haircuts boosting confidence and smiles. This initiative supports families and meets students where they are. Thank you for your support with in LCSD!

Together Including Every Student (TIES) empowers students with developmental disabilities to join clubs, sports, and community activities—with the support of trained peer volunteers.

We had so many fun photos and stories coming in at the end of the year, we have a few leftovers we're going to share moving into the summer! At Anna Merritt, Mrs. Rude 's students wrapped up the school year with some camping fun! They told campfire stories, went fishing, and made smores- the perfect way to end the school year!
