
LHS students in Mr. Rogowski's 3D Design class put their skills to the test by using Onshape to create custom holiday ornaments. From concept to creation, these young designers brought their festive ideas to life!

📚 We’re excited to introduce a new standards-based report card for K-4 students starting this year! 🎉 This report card highlights each child’s progress toward meeting New York State learning standards. At Emmet Belknap, Miss Bridger's class project was on important achievements of the Indus Valley and Mesopotamia River Valley societies. Students spent time researching then creating diagrams. Projects ranged from physical diagrams to virtual blueprints modeling the achievements.






Mr. Glaubitz's Social Studies classes at Aaron Mossell JHS recently participated in a Fishbowl Protocol. They researched and collected evidence to support their argument. They then took turns discussing their research as well as listening to classmates share their points of view.



LHS Student Council joined forces with schools across the district to support the annual PB&J Drive! Charles Upson Student Council members led the charge with a fun Pajamas for PB&J Day, where our amazing students and families contributed generously.

Roy B Kelly fourth grade students learned about the Native American creation story in Ms. Korchowsky's art classes. They learned the significance of the turtle in the Iroquois tribes as well as other tribes throughout North America. After looking at representations of the turtle in Native American art, they modeled their own turtle sculptures with clay. They then created a radially balanced design on it's shell using lines shapes and colors.





Anna Merritt Elementary hosted their first ever Turkey Trot before Thanksgiving too! For 3rd grade, Brynn C, Faline G, Harper G, Bryson T, Loyal S, and Christian C all placed in the top finishers. For 4th grade, Layla D, Malayah F, Laila V, Lee J, Brayden M, and Reed Baldwin let the way for the group. Congratulations to all who participated!

The 9th annual Emmet Belknap 2K Turkey Trot took place prior to Thanksgiving Break. About 120 students participated in the run this year! Congratulations to this year's winners: 5th Grade - Paityn Q., Julian S. & 6th Grade Reagan Z., & Connor H.



First grade music students at George Southard Elementary enjoy singing "Over the River and Through the Woods" and playing the jingle bells to prepare for the holidays.

Students at AMJHS had the chance to immerse themselves in an exciting and educational experience during their social studies classes. The department hosted a competition centered on games inspired by Indigenous cultures, combining fun with a meaningful exploration of history and traditions. Activities included the Arctic Ice Challenge, Lacrosse, the Scissor Broad Jump, and the Mohawk Skywalker.







Quiet moments, big benefits! 📚 Charles Upson students are embracing the joy of reading through the Silent Reading Club. This dedicated time helps build focus, imagination, and a lifelong love for books.


Mrs. Key’s 6th graders at Emmet Belknap embraced the cafe vibe as they crafted their end-of-unit character essays! With chocolate milk, treats, and a cozy atmosphere, creativity and inspiration were flowing.





This Thanksgiving season, our elementary students embraced creativity, gratitude, and fun! Mrs. Garis’ kindergarten class read Turkey Trouble and cleverly disguised turkeys with help from their families to keep them safe from Thanksgiving dinner. At Anna Merritt, third graders enjoyed their annual Friendsgiving, celebrating their classroom family and sharing what they’re thankful for, including friends, school, and teachers, all while enjoying a delicious feast. To top it off, students got into the holiday spirit by dressing up as turkeys, bringing smiles and laughter to the celebration! 🦃🍂
