Sixth grade scientists at EBIS have been hard at work in the lab designing and building Rube Goldberg machines! Using everyday materials and a lot of creativity, students in Ms. Clifton’s classes collaborated to create chain-reaction inventions that turn simple tasks into spectacular events. Last night, we celebrated our incredible student-athletes during LCSD’s Sports Awards Night, where students were honored for their achievements both on and off the field, and several deserving seniors received scholarships to support their future goals. 💙💛 But that’s not all — we’re proud to announce that ALL 33 of our varsity teams were named Scholar-Athlete Teams by the New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA)! That means 100% of our varsity teams this season earned this academic honor — qualifying LCSD for the prestigious "School of Distinction" recognition! This achievement highlights the dedication, discipline, and drive of our student-athletes and coaches. They don’t just compete — they excel in the classroom too.

🎓 Lockport High School Top 10 Seniors: Class of 2025 Spotlight We're continuing our celebration of the outstanding Top 10 seniors from the Class of 2025! These students have achieved academic excellence while immersing themselves in everything Lockport High School has to offer. Take a look at students #6–10 and all they’ve accomplished. #6 Zachary Frank Zachary is headed to Ithaca College to study Biochemistry with a minor in Music. An exceptionally talented alto saxophone player in the LHS Band, Zachary found the perfect fit in Ithaca’s strong science and music programs. He’s excited to continue growing both academically and musically in a city he already loves. #7 Lillian Bushley Lillian will attend Rochester Institute of Technology, double majoring in Environmental Science and English. She dreams of launching her own nonprofit that helps local businesses adopt sustainable practices. RIT’s accelerated bachelor’s and master’s programs caught her eye, and she’s hoping to study abroad in Europe during her time there. At LHS, Lillian is on stage with the theater program, on the tennis and bowling teams, in Warlocks Robotics, and even is on the inaugural Flag Football team. Her passion for environmental science was sparked way back in 5th grade when she joined the Green Club at Emmet Belknap. #8 Cecilia Millen Cecilia is attending the University at Buffalo to study Mathematics with a planned minor in Music. A true performer at heart, she has appeared in countless musicals and has a love for the stage that she’s carried throughout her school years. She’s also a dedicated member of the Cyber Lions, bringing creativity and leadership to the team. Cecilia hopes to leave behind a legacy of kindness and full participation—and one day, drive away in her dream car: a Ferrari 7F90xx Spider. #9 Isabella Talluto Isabella is bound for Rochester Institute of Technology, where she’ll study Biology with a goal of researching and developing new vaccines. She chose RIT for its strong research opportunities and was thrilled that she could still be involved in theater, even without majoring in it. At LHS, Isabella is involved in both theater and stage crew at LHS, and sings in the concert choir. 🧠 #10 Cecilia Loiacano Cecilia is attending St. Bonaventure University to study Psychology. She fell in love with the campus during her first visit and knew it was the tight-knit community she was looking for—close enough to home, but filled with new possibilities. At LHS, Cecilia was a standout student and leader: varsity volleyball and softball player, participant in the unified sports program, secretary of National Honor Society, class council representative, and a devoted member of the yearbook staff—serving as co-chief editor her senior year.

AMJHS students got the chance to step inside the Mobile Museum of Tolerance for an unforgettable Civil Rights lesson. Instructor Brian started things off with a real talk about what tolerance means—not just in society, but in our everyday lives and relationships. The conversation grew into a powerful discussion about identity and culture, and how those shape the way we see the world and treat others. Students opened up, shared their thoughts, and explored ways to speak up for themselves and others—always with peace and purpose.
